We recently engaged this team for our pest control needs. Adam provided an extensive overview of his services and quoted a vastly more competitive rate. After two service calls we're not only impressed by Adam's expertise but the level of service is absolutely astonishing (we're from New York and that's not easily done). They deserve 10 stars and should be everyone's choice for pest care.

Palm Tree Injections in Venice, FL — Historic Palms, New Construction, and a Disease Moving South
Need palm tree injections near me in Venice, FL? Our nearby palm treatment specialists provide trunk injections for lethal bronzing prevention, spiraling whitefly control, and nutrient deficiency correction. Local Venice service that keeps your palms healthy, green, and standing year-round. Venice sits at the southern edge of Sarasota County, and the palms here cover an unusually wide range — from decades-old specimens on Venice Island’s tree-lined avenues to brand-new nursery installs in Wellen Park. In between, you’ve got South Venice canal properties where salt and water table stress wear palms down from below, and Jacaranda West with mature Sylvesters and queens established for twenty-plus years.
All of them are in the path of lethal bronzing disease, which is moving south through the county.
Palm tree injections in Venice, FL are how you protect palms across that entire spectrum — old, new, coastal, inland — with treatment that actually reaches the tissue where it matters.
Lethal Bronzing Is Moving Through Sarasota County Toward Venice
Lethal bronzing disease has been confirmed in Sarasota County, and it’s spreading south. The Haplaxius crudus planthopper — the insect that carries the phytoplasma from palm to palm — doesn’t care about city limits. It feeds on infected palms, picks up the disease, and carries it to the next tree. With large populations of untreated native Sabal palms in the preserves and along the Myakka corridor to the east, the disease has a clear path south into Venice’s neighborhoods.
By the time a palm shows visible symptoms (lower fronds browning tip-to-base, fruit dropping early, spear leaf collapsing), the infection is terminal. There’s no cure and no recovery. The only defense is preventive oxytetracycline injection on a recurring cycle — getting the antibiotic into the phloem tissue before the planthopper delivers the phytoplasma.
Waiting to see if it reaches Venice before doing anything is how you lose palms. The treatment has to be in place before infection, not after.
Venice Island’s Mature Palms
Venice Island has long-established residential palm plantings. The palms along Venice Avenue and Tampa Avenue have been growing for decades — irreplaceable at their current size. These older trees are the most likely to have accumulated nutrient deficiencies: potassium depletion (orange-edged fronds), manganese deficiency (frizzle top at the crown), magnesium shortage (yellow bands on older fronds). Trunk injections correct all of these directly, bypassing the sandy soil that leaches surface-applied nutrients.
South Venice Canal Properties
South Venice has a unique palm-care challenge: the canal system puts the water table close to the surface, and tidal influence brings salt into the soil profile. Palms on canal-adjacent lots deal with chronic salt stress at the root zone, which interferes with nutrient uptake even when minerals are present in the soil.
Surface fertilizer is particularly ineffective here — it either washes into the canal with the next rain or gets locked up by salt in the root zone. Trunk injections deliver nutrients past the soil entirely, straight into the vascular system where the palm can use them.
Wellen Park New-Install Palms
Wellen Park is planting palms by the hundreds — Sylvesters, royals, date palms lining new boulevards. They look great at installation, but they’re going into freshly graded construction soil with no established root networks and irrigation systems that may not be dialed in yet. New-install palms are vulnerable during their first two to three years, and a proactive injection program gives them the nutritional boost they need to root deep and build a full canopy instead of stalling out.
Jacaranda West Mature Specimens
Jacaranda’s palms have had decades to grow — mature queens, Sylvesters, and Canary Island dates that are past establishment and into the maintenance phase. We see potassium and manganese deficiency building up in these older palms from years of relying on soil-applied fertilizer that doesn’t deliver enough. One or two injection cycles typically produce a visible improvement in frond color and canopy density.
How We Handle Venice Properties
- Property-specific assessment — A canal-side coconut in South Venice gets a different workup than a new-install Sylvester in Wellen Park.
- Custom treatment blend — Species, age, condition, salt exposure, and disease risk all factor in.
- Low-pressure trunk injection — Sealed-port delivery. No overspray, no product on the seawall or dock, no runoff into the canals.
- Recurring schedule — Ongoing injection cycles with reminders before each visit.

Most Venice properties need more than one layer of protection. From this page, the next useful step is usually Venice pest control, Venice lawn fertilization, Venice weed control, Venice lawn pest control, Venice lawn plugging, Venice mosquito control, or Venice pest control quote so the treatment plan matches the full property instead of one isolated pest issue.

Questions We Hear Every Day
Quick answers from our SWFL pest pros.
I don't see any pests — do I still need pest control?
Fair question. In Southwest Florida, by the time you spot a roach in the kitchen or ghost ants on the counter, there's usually a colony somewhere you can't see. Our humidity, rainy season, and slab-on-grade homes keep pests active all 12 months.
What a quarterly visit does:
- Renews the exterior treatment before sun and rain wear it down
- Catches entry points — weep holes, soffit gaps, slab cracks — before anything moves in
- Covers you between visits: on a recurring plan, if covered pests show up, we come back free
If you're pest-free right now, that's the easiest time to start. We're maintaining, not chasing.
Why are ongoing treatments necessary instead of just an initial one?
Because Florida has no off-season. Warm, wet weather keeps ants, roaches, and spiders active year-round, and exterior treatments wear down in the sun and rain. Recurring visits renew that protection, catch new entry points, and adjust to what's active each season — ghost ants in the rainy months, rodents moving indoors in the cooler ones. The first service knocks the population down. Recurring visits keep it down.
Do your prices go up?
On a month-to-month residential plan, each service's rate holds for your first 12 months; your WaveGuard bundle discount follows the services you keep. After that we review a rate once a year, and if it changes you'll hear from us in writing at least 30 days before the new rate applies, with the reason. Month-to-month plans have no contract — cancel anytime. Termite programs and warranties, annual-contract plans such as mosquito misting systems, and commercial accounts follow their own agreements.
Is it necessary for me to be at home during pest and lawn services?
For your first pest control visit, yes. We walk the property with you, look at problem spots, and treat inside. After that, most pest visits are exterior, so you don't need to be home; if a visit includes interior work, we'll set a time with you. Lawn service happens outdoors, so you don't need to be home for any lawn visit. Either way, you get a digital service report with photos when we're done.
Why hire a professional when I can do it myself?
You can handle a lot yourself: seal gaps, fix leaks, pull mulch back from the foundation. A pro earns the fee in the parts that are easy to get wrong. That means identifying the exact species (ghost ants and fire ants need opposite approaches), choosing products that won't scatter a colony, and getting into attics and soffits. On a recurring plan, we also come back free if pests return. Store-bought repellent sprays often push ants and roaches deeper into the walls instead of ending the problem.
What are these tiny bugs in my pantry?
Usually one of three: Indian meal moths (small moths, plus webbing in grain or cereal), rice weevils (tiny beetles with a snout, in rice and pasta), or flour beetles (small reddish-brown beetles in flour and baking mixes). Throw out infested food, vacuum the shelves, and move dry goods into sealed containers. If they keep coming back after a thorough clean-out, call us and we'll track down the source.
Why do you treat both the inside and outside of my home?
The first visit covers both: we treat what's active indoors and set up protection outside. After that, recurring visits focus on the exterior — the perimeter, eaves, and entry points — because that's where most Florida pests come from. If you need an inside treatment between visits, we'll come back for that too, free on a recurring plan.
